EPHEMERES IMPRESSIONS

Islets, pontoons, frail little vessels, precarious pearl farms, all trying to survive. Together they cast a spell between their water worlds and me. Rising sea levels, cyclones, activity failures, erosion by wind and sea, can throw the lagoon into disarray.
Colours changing hour on hour, from turquoise to emerald green, from grey to morning pink transform the ocean. However it is the more pastel colours, somewhat faded and more subtle that move me, that call out to me. Revealing the fragile and fleeting aspect of this marine world that enthrals me every morning when I wake up was self-evident, a quest for me. With this different look, I would like to share these illusory images: the magic of a reflecting bird’s flight, a sketched silhouette or the slow but inexorable degradation of a structure.
My Polynesian world, at the same time so dense and so fragile .
