Originally from mainland France, Brigitte Bourger has lived and worked in French Polynesia for more than 35 years.
A pharmacist by profession, for the last few years she has devoted all her time to photography, travelling around and photographing her beloved Tahiti, venturing to other water destinations around the world, such as Japan, Africa and the USA.
She has spent the last three years working on the "Ephémères Impressions" project ; a series of minimalist photographs that shows the fragility of the surrounding marine life.
Many of the photographs were internationally awarded and a recently published book of her work won a gold medal at the 2020 PX3 Paris competition.
Her new projects lean towards artistic creation linked to water and the sea.
Brigitte Bourger est originaire de France métropolitaine et vit depuis plus de 35 ans en Polynésie française.
Pharmacienne de profession, elle consacre maintenant tout son temps à la photographie.
Elle a travaillé ces trois dernières années sur le projet " Ephémères impressions », une série de photographies qui montre la fragilité du monde marin polynésien.
Certaines de ses photographies ont été primées au niveau international et le livre « Ephémères impressions » a obtenu la médaille d'or au concours PX3 Paris 2020, catégorie « nature/eau».
Ses nouveaux projets vont vers la création photographique artistique liée au monde marin dont elle est entourée.
